Despite moving into a new generation, Pontiac did not
update the 2017 Trans Am Hybrid engine options, instead keeping the same 2.5- and
3.5-liter V6 powerplants.
Despite that, the 2017 Trans Am Hybrid Sport with
rear-wheel drive comes mated to the same eight-speed transmission as the Trans
Am. Pontiac did not have pricing details for the car during its press preview.
