Pontiac’s upcoming sports car, caught while being tested in
rather thin camouflage. Pontiac recently revealed it is strongly considering a
sports car to slot into its lineup beneath the mid-size cars. The 2017 Trans Am
Firebird Hybrid likely will carry the TA moniker, and, like the TA, will get
engine-specific names.
Estimated Time of Arrival and Price: We hear that the 2017 Trans Am Firebird Hybrid will debut in Frankfurt later this year before going
on sale early next year as a 2017 model. Pricing of the 2017 Trans Am Firebird
Hybrid should start in the low-$30,000 range and stretch into the mid-$40,000
zone for a loaded hybrid model.
